It is said that one day the elders of the tribe gathered to drink an infusion of ipadu leaves - coca leaves that suppress hunger. And so, when they were about to leave, a girl approached them.

-Why did you come? - the old men asked.

- How why? I want to drink iPad with you.

Without answering her, the old men went into the forest, and the girl remained in the house from which they left.

After this, she became pregnant, although she was alone all the time.

Twice the elders tried to help her give birth, but the child apparently did not want to leave her mother’s womb. Desperate, they left her alone.

And then one day, when a pregnant woman was wading a river, she was bitten in the stomach by a Traira fish, and the woman immediately gave birth to a son.

They say that the elders immediately took the child away from his mother and carried him far into the forest so that she would not find out where he was and could not find her son.

And the boy grew up in the forest. And as an adult, he sometimes went out to people. His face was not visible, but fire came from his body, hands and head and a terrible roar was heard.

Hearing him, the elders said:

- Women, turn away, don’t look at him!

This is how the evil spirit Zhurupari appeared.
