The girl also liked Khan. And so she pretended to be sick. The brother was very upset and did not know what to do. Khan called an old woman to him and told her:
- Go and tell Zhanydyl that you are a healer and that “angel water” can help his sister.
If he asks where to get such medicine, you say that there is such and such a place, and take him to a place where there is a lot of trouble, where along the way he could meet with Zhalmauyz-Kempir. Make sure he doesn't come back.
The old woman went to Zhanydyl’s sister and began to heal. She shook the patient, whispered something, and then said to Zhanydyl:
– There is “angel water”. Only she can cure your sister. But the cure is difficult to find. I know where it is. - And the old woman told how to go for this water.
Zhanydyl went. Khan took Janidyl's sister to him, and made his wife a slave.
Zhanydyl rode for a long time and came across a house. A scary woman was sitting near the house. She boiled oil in a cauldron with forty ears, threw a man into the oil and, making a kaurdak out of him, began to eat. It was zhalmauyz-kempir. Zhalmauyz-kempir saw Zhanydyl and ran up to him to catch him and throw him into the cauldron. Zhanydyl began to run around the cauldron, Zhalmauyz-kempir followed him. The old woman felt dizzy, she stumbled and fell. Zhany-dyl picked her up and threw her into the fire. After that, he entered the house of Zhalmauyz-Kempir and saw many people. They awaited their fate. Zhanydyl freed them all, distributed the old woman’s wealth to them and sent them home. One of the released said to Zhanydyl:
“You yourself got rid of Zhalmauyz-Kempir and freed us.” May God send you prosperity on your journey! Where are you going?
“There is “angel water” in this country,” Zhanydyl said. – It helps against illnesses. So I'm going for this drug.
Then the man said:
“It’s a difficult path to get to this water.” Not far from here live the Dyau - the Zhalmauyz-Kempir brothers. When you reach them, you will see a dog, and in front of it is a zhantak. Take the zhantak from the dog and throw it to the camel, which will lie right there. Take the bone from the camel and throw it to the dog. Next, three boys will play knucklebones. If they start to quarrel, you will make peace between them. Then you will meet a guard - a dyau with a white spot on his forehead. He will chase you, but the boys will stop him. You will go further and meet stone doors, behind them is “angel water”. Say: “Oh my God!” - and the door will open. Get some water and head back.
Zhanydyl did everything as he was told. He took the zhantak from the dog and threw it to the camel, and the bone to the dog; reconciled the fighting boys. He drove up to the door and said: “Oh God!” The door opened, he got some water and went back. When Zhanydyl arrived home, he did not find his sister and wife. He was told what happened during his absence. Zhanydyl killed the khan and returned his wife. He tied his sister to the tails of forty horses and sent her into the field. The mares tore her into forty pieces.
