Young deer...
Enlight

One young deer had large and beautiful antlers, which he was very proud of. No one had such luxurious horns!

Wild goats, which had small and crooked horns, were grazing near him. The deer constantly made fun of them. And when he encountered wild boars that had no horns at all, he snorted disdainfully and turned away. He had something to be proud of! But the deer didn’t like the legs too much: they were too thin and almost like everyone else’s.

And then one day there was a fire in the forest. All the wild animals began to run away in fear. And at that moment the deer appreciated all the dignity of his strong legs. They carried him faster than the wind. He outran all the wild boars and antelopes and would certainly have escaped the fire if not for his branchy, spreading horns. They got stuck in dense thickets.

Wild animals rushed past. The fire was getting closer.

And at that moment the deer realized for the first time how good his legs were and how ridiculous his antlers were - the subject of his constant pride and boast.
