A traveler was walking along the road in a deserted area. And by the road under a tree an old man sat in deep meditation with his eyes closed. The traveler approached the old man and, not paying attention to his meditation, loudly greeted him and asked:
“Reverend, how long will it take me to walk to the nearest city?”
The old man opened his eyes, and, as if not leaving his meditation, waved his hand in the direction where the traveler was going and said:
- You go.
The traveler realized that they did not want to talk to him. Offended, he turned away from the old man and quickly walked further along the road. But, having walked only a dozen steps, the traveler heard the old man’s voice behind him:
“If you keep going like this, you’ll reach sunset.”
