A panther was walking through the forest. At the same time, a bear was walking through the forest. They are going towards each other, and they don’t know it. We met at the stream. The only way to cross the stream is to walk along the trunk of a fallen tree.
- Get out of the way! Get out of the way! - the panther shouts and steps on the trunk.
“Look for what you want,” says the bear, “get out of the way!” - And he also steps on the trunk - from the other side.
They collided in the very middle, fought, and both fell into the water. Somehow we made it to the shore.
- I am the strongest! I am the strongest! - the panther growls.
- Nothing like that! - the bear roars.
-Who am I weaker than? Who am I weaker than? - screams the panther.
“A person,” the bear answers.
- Show it to me! Show it to me! - the panther squeals.
“Come on,” the bear roars, “I’ll show you a man.”
The bear led the panther to the road.
“We’ll wait here,” says the bear. A bear and a panther hid in the bushes. They waited a little, and suddenly a boy was running along the road, whistling a cheerful song.
- Is this a person? - whispers the panther.
“No,” the bear answers, “he will be a man.”
Soon an old man appeared on the road. He walks with a limp and leans on a stick.
- Is this a person? - whispers the panther.
“No,” the bear answers, “he was a man.”
We waited a little longer and a young man was walking along the road. A gun on his shoulder, a hunting horn on his side.
- Well, this person? - the panther is angry.
“Man,” the bear growls and runs into the forest.
The man was very surprised when he saw a panther standing in front of him, ready to pounce. He threw the gun off his shoulder and fired at the panther, but in his haste he did not aim properly and missed. Then he blew his horn, and the dogs rushed to his aid. The panther miraculously escaped.
A few days later we met a bear and a panther in the forest.
- Well, are you stronger than a man? - asked the bear.
“No,” said the panther. “He took the stick off his shoulder, and thunder and lightning flew out of it. And then he blew the horn and summoned the devil and the little devils. You can't defeat a man!
