Wolf, fox and dog

Wolf, fox and dog

Once upon a time there was a dog. Day and night she watched over the herd. There lived a wolf next door. Often he would sneak up to the paddock, but the dog would wake up the shepherds with a loud bark, and they would drive the wolf away.

One day a wolf met a fox and said to her:

- Help me, fox, get rid of the dog. Come up with some trick. If I steal the sheep, then you will get something too.

The fox readily agreed and went to the dog.

- Hello, dog! Why do you bark all the time? Poor thing, you are completely emaciated, only bones and skin remain. It wouldn't hurt for you to rest.

“I can’t, sister, because there’s a big wolf wandering nearby.” If I don't bark, he'll tear me apart. And the shepherds run when they bark. The damned wolf is afraid of them only.

- Why damned? He is a beast just like you and me. After all, he is the khan of these places. And very good-natured. Once you make friends with him, no one will come close to the sheep, and you can rest easy.

- But who will introduce me to the wolf? - asked the dog.

“I take it upon myself,” answered the fox.

Soon the fox brought the wolf, and all three began to talk peacefully.

“The wolf himself will guard the herd and notify everyone about your friendship, and you just stop barking.” The fact is that Khan Wolf cannot stand dog barking at all,” said the fox.

So the wolf and the dog became friends. Everything went well, everyone was happy.

One day, being happy about something, the dog barked loudly.

“You are breaking the agreement,” said the wolf.

“Forgive me, I did it by accident, because once is not scary,” the dog answered guiltily.

The next day, when the shepherds were sleeping after a sleepless night, the wolf said:

- You broke the contract once. I have the right to do this too. Isn't it true?

- You speak the truth, oh khan! - answered the dog.

- Then I will kill you! - and the wolf tore the dog apart, and then cut the whole herd.
