One man was plowing a field. His horse is tired and can barely pull. The man got angry: “May the wolf eat you!” Suddenly, out of nowhere, a wolf. He comes up to the man and says: “Well, give me your horse, I’ll eat it!” The man was taken aback, widened his eyes, and then answered: “Wait, I’ll finish plowing, then eat.”
The wolf sits and waits. As soon as the man finished plowing, the wolf was right there. The man tells him:
- How can you eat a horse with wool? Let's go to my house, I'll scald her with boiling water - the fur will come off and the meat will taste better.
The wolf agreed and went with the man.
A man came home and shouted:
- Wife, quickly bring boiling water!
His wife brought him boiling water. The wolf sat down and watched as the man scalded the horse with boiling water. And when the man splashed boiling water in the wolf’s eyes, the wolf howled, and that’s all they saw!
The next morning the man went out into the arable land again. And the wolf came there and said to the man:
- Well, now I’ll eat you myself!
“Well, eat,” the man agreed. “Just let me pray before I die.” You wait here for me, and I’ll climb a tree and pray there, otherwise God doesn’t notice little ones.
The wolf agreed. A man climbed a tree, but didn’t even think about getting down. The wolf waited for him, waited, finally got angry and called out to other wolves for help. The wolves heard him and they all ran to the tree. The wolf, who wanted to eat the man, stood near the tree, the second one jumped on his back, the third one jumped on the second one, and so the wolves climb higher and higher. Now the last wolf is very close to the man.
The man got scared and shouted:
- Wife, quickly bring boiling water!
The wolf that stood below immediately remembered how the man scalded him with boiling water, and began to run as fast as he could. All the wolves fell to the ground. Some died to death, and some ran away into the forest.
This is how the man was saved from death.
