In the old days, the rooster had such a luxurious tail that people stopped every time to admire it. The peacock was overcome by envy, day and night he thinks about how to take possession of the rooster's tail. And I came up with it. The peacock asks for the rooster:
- Lend me your tail, my friend, just for one night, please. I'm going to a wedding and want to dress up. And early in the morning I will return it to you.
The rooster agreed and gave the peacock his tail.
Morning has come - the peacock's tail does not return. The day has come - the peacock does not even think about parting with its tail. So he appropriated the rooster’s luxurious tail for himself.
What's left for the rooster? As it begins to get light, the rooster cries “ku-ka-re-ku!” This is what he reminds a peacock of:
- Give me back my tail, you scoundrel!
