Not far from here and not close, in the same village lived two famous lazy people. The fame of their laziness spread far throughout the surrounding area. Each of them considered himself the laziest. One day they argued which of them slept more soundly. They argued and argued and decided to have a competition: who would sleep with whom. The village elders were called to be judges.
The first lazy man went to his home and began to get ready for bed. In order not to freeze, he lit a fire, lay down next to him and immediately fell asleep. And sparks from the fire fell on the dry thatched roof. The roof caught fire, and behind it the walls of the house caught fire. But the lazy man continued to sleep, feeling nothing. Tongues of fire were already licking his heels, his clothes were already smoking, and he was still sleeping. Then the people became alarmed that he would burn like that, pulled him, sleeping, out of the flames and began to roll him on the ground to extinguish the smoldering clothes.
- Wake up, wake up! - they bothered him.
Finally he woke up and muttered sleepily:
- Let me get some sleep! I haven't gotten enough sleep yet.
The next day the second lazy man went to bed. He lay down on the road near his house. Meanwhile, clouds gathered, rain began to pour, and the road turned into a torrent. The water picked up the lazy man and carried him out to sea. He didn't even wake up. A large fish saw the sleeping man in the sea and swallowed him. The fish were caught by village fishermen. They brought the heavy prey to the village and there they opened its belly. The lazy man lay in his belly and slept peacefully. People pulled him out and began to bother him:
- Wake up, wake up!
The lazy man stretched and whined pitifully in his sleep:
- I just had time to take a nap! Why are you waking me up?
The judges thought and thought and could not decide who slept with whom.
