Who is the gardener?

Who is the gardener?

Life is never static, it is constantly changing. Your mind acts like a camera, keeps accumulating images. And you continue to react to these images. That's why you are never faithful to life.

One day, two explorers walked into a clearing in the jungle. It was a beautiful place - thousands and thousands of flowers bloomed there. One of the researchers said:

- There is probably a gardener who takes care of these flowers, looks after this wealth. - He was a believer.

Another disagreed with him:

“I don’t see any gardener here.” I don't see any traces of anyone here. And there is no point in planting such a beautiful garden in this dense and deep forest. Who will come to see him? Who will enjoy these flowers? No one will even pass by. No, there is no gardener here. This whole garden is random.

They argued. The second was an unbeliever, a skeptic. But there was no way to decide which of them was right, so they pitched their tent and waited seven days. The gardener didn't show up. The skeptic was happy. He said:

- Look, there is no gardener. Now it has been proven.

But the believer said:

- The gardener is invisible. He comes, but we do not see him; he comes, but we don’t hear his steps. Such a garden cannot exist without a gardener.

Then they laid barbed wire around the garden. They sent electric current through the wire, they brought sniffer dogs, they watched day and night. But no one entered the garden. Not a single piercing scream was heard from the shock of electric current flowing through the wire. The bloodhounds didn't bark even once.

Seven days later the skeptic said:

- Enough! It has now been proven beyond any doubt that there is no gardener, neither visible nor invisible.

But the believer was not convinced. He said:

- The gardener is not only invisible, he is intangible. It has no smell. He is eternally elusive: he cannot be captured by electric wires, he cannot be captured by bloodhounds, our eyes cannot see him. But it is there - it definitely is.

Then the skeptic, in great disappointment, said:

-What happened to your original statement? What is the difference between the invisible, intangible, ever-elusive God or gardener, and the one who is only imagined, the one who does not exist at all? What's the difference between the two?

This is exactly how disputes on earth have always been conducted. Believers talk about an invisible God all the time, skeptical minds always reject any possibility of his existence, and they all seem to be right. Or they are all wrong. This debate will never be over.

One woman was showing her child a family album, and they came across a photograph of a handsome young man: thick hair, beard, very young, very lively. The boy asked:

- Mom, who is this person?

- Don't you recognize him? - said the woman. - This is your dad!

The boy looked puzzled and said:

- If this is my dad, then who is this bald man who lives with us?

The unconscious mind acts like a camera, like film. The observing mind acts like a mirror. It does not perceive fingerprints; it remains completely empty. Whatever is in front of the mirror is reflected. It is always true to life.
