Who gave the birds songs
Enlight

It was a long time ago. Then on our land the birds did not yet know how to sing, but only shouted and spoke in human language. Only one raven thought he could sing. He shouted: "Kar! Kar! Kar!" - and told everyone that people taught him to sing like that.

One day, on their suglan, the birds decided to ask Kheveki to give them songs. They came to Kheveki and said:

- We also want to sing. Look how the Northern Lights sing well. We also want to sing.

Kheveki thought and said:

— I can’t give the same songs. You take the songs from the Northern Lights. People don't listen to him at night. Everyone sleeps when it sings. And you give the Northern Lights some of your plumage.

The birds flew to the Northern Lights and asked to give them songs and to take their plumage for themselves.

The Northern Lights were delighted, took a variety of feathers from the birds, and gave their songs to the birds.

Since that day, the Northern Lights play different colors at night, and the Birds sing all kinds of songs.

Kheveki did not offend anyone. And this makes the person feel good. He rejoices when he looks at the Northern Lights and listens to the songs of birds.

And the raven is jealous and caws even louder out of anger.
