There lived one person. He left his homeland and settled in another country. There he got married and had children. The neighbors soon completely forgot that he had come from afar, and fell in love with him very much.
But one day the rulers of this country decided to go to war against his homeland. They gathered a council of elders and invited a stranger. And then a feast was held, and everyone present at it swore to kill anyone who would divulge a military secret.
But a man who came from afar decided to help his homeland and warn its ruler about the danger. He took a piece from all the dishes that were served at the feast, took a knife, smeared it with blood and sent it all with one faithful person to the ruler of the country where he was born.
The ruler and his entourage looked at what was sent and realized that they were threatened by war; they managed to prepare well and repulsed the enemies.
Since then, when people gather for a council of war, they first ask each other: “Where were you born?” Because a person will always want to help his homeland and will not participate in a military conspiracy against it.
