Where do fleas come from?

Where do fleas come from?

One day, the Lord God and Saint Peter were walking along the banks of the Loire, between Chamalieres and Voray. While walking, they talked about people and how difficult it is to guide them on the right path. At the place where the river makes a turn, Saint Peter suddenly pointed out to the Lord God a woman in rags, who was lying on the sand and basking in the sun. The woman was still young, but her face expressed desperate boredom. Nothing can be hidden from the Lord God, and he immediately saw that this woman was bored from idleness.

Then he, out of his immeasurable kindness, took a handful of fleas from his deep pocket and threw them on the woman, saying:

- Woman, idleness is the mother of all vices. Here's something for you!

From that day on, the women had fleas. And, for the hell of it, they amuse themselves by looking for them at home.
