What's caught in the snare

What's caught in the snare

Once upon a time there lived one man. He went around the world to seek happiness and wandered into the forest.

He chose a place, built a hut and placed a snare not far away, and attached guns to the snare: if any game hit, the gun would fire and let them know. And he went to bed.

Just fell asleep - bang! - the gun fired. The hunter ran to the snare, and there was a rabbit. He took the prey and lay down again.

Before I could close my eyes, there was another shot. This time - an armadillo. The hunter pulled out the beast, returned to the hut and fell asleep again.

But that was not the case. Fucking! Hunter - to the snare, lo and behold, there is a girl of unprecedented beauty.

The hunter was surprised and asked where she was from and what she was doing here in the forest. And the girl answers:

“I went out for a walk and fell into your snare.” Free me, and for this I will take you to my house and marry you. Just promise to never remember that you caught me in a snare.

OK. The hunter threw his gun over his shoulder and walked with the girl. She brought him to a beautiful palace. She ordered the servants to prepare clean clothes for the groom, warm water for washing, and then set the table for dinner. The hunter washed himself, changed clothes, and ate his fill of all sorts of tasty things.

The next day we had a wedding. And the hunter lived in satiety and contentment, just like a count or a prince. Whatever he wants, everyone brings it to him. Only soon he got proud and let’s show off: it’s not right for him, it’s not right for him, he scolds the servants, drives him around to no avail, you can’t please him.

He’s already dissatisfied with his wife, he grumbles at her, offends her, and almost beat her. And then somehow they didn’t manage to serve dinner on time. He got angry, shouted at his wife, insulted her in every possible way and got so angry that he just said:

- Who are you anyway? Prey from my snare!

His wife laughed in his face and sang:

My faithful maids,

I conjure:

Mutambu, mutamba!

Leave forever!

And all the servants disappeared.

And the wife sings:

My things, my furniture,

I conjure:

Mutambu, mutamba!

Leave forever!

And suddenly all the furniture disappeared. Even the chair the husband was sitting on, so the poor man fell to the floor - bam! And the wife goes on:

My home is warm and beautiful,

I conjure:

Mutambu, mutamba!

Go away forever!

And it was like nothing happened at home.

Here she sang:

And Dona Maria herself,

I conjure:

Mutambu, mutamba!

Go away forever!

And she’s gone!

The hunter rubbed his eyes and looked: he was sitting on the ground in a dark forest, he had a gun with him, and he was wearing dirty clothes. And his hut had long since collapsed. He sighed and walked wherever his eyes led him.
