One day, the Wise Pig was returning home after a pilgrimage to one of the temples in India and met on the road a young man walking in the same direction. They met and started talking about the journey, because everyone knows that even a short conversation shortens the journey.
The young man began to tell the Pig about the miraculous power of the walls of the temple, which he went to worship. It was enough for someone to rub the stones of the walls with his palms, and all his wishes were immediately fulfilled.
- Have your wishes come true? - asked the Pig. - And what did you want?
“I wanted health, wealth and courage, because that’s what I always lacked,” answered the young man.
- Well, how did you get them? - asked the Pig.
“The road to the temple was long and difficult, but its hardships hardened and strengthened my body. “I have become healthier,” the young man answered and continued his story. “Once, already in India, I was lucky enough to find a large jug of gold, and I became rich. When there were only three days left to the temple, robbers attacked me, but I overcame my fear and put them to flight. So I got everything I wanted.
“How unreasonably people act,” said the Wise Pig, “they should have made the road sacred, not the temple.”
