Nearby grew a danmu tree, the roots of which fed on jade sap. Fragrant flowers bloomed on it, and then fruits appeared in their place - all tasting different. Huang Di ordered this tree to be replanted closer to the palace, and allowed all the heavenly spirit officials accompanying him to eat the fruits.
But on Kunlun there was something else very tasty and satisfying that all people dreamed of.
Next to the dark red tree lived an unprecedented monster - Shizhou - “sighted flesh”. He had no bones or limbs. It was something like a huge bull's liver with eyes. All of his meat could not be eaten. You cut a piece, and in its place a new one grows, of the same shape.
There was also a black cow with long thin horns. She herself asked that a large piece of meat be cut out from her once every ten days, otherwise she could die. And new meat immediately grew. Sheep with fat tails weighing ten jins grazed on the lush grass. Delicious food was prepared from them, and the fat tails grew back. So no one was in danger of famine on Kunlun.
