One day, Sly Peter went into the forest to get firewood. In the forest, he was caught in heavy rain, but still chopped wood and went home, only dreaming of how to sit by the hot fire and have lunch.
When he, chilled and tired, opened the door to the house, his wife met him on the threshold, holding empty buckets in her hands:
“Go get some water, Peter,” said the wife, “Because of the rain I didn’t leave the house today.” There is no water at all, I couldn’t even cook dinner. But you’re still wet, but wet people aren’t afraid of rain!
Peter got angry, but without saying a word, he took the buckets and went to the well. When he returned back, his wife was sitting by the fireplace, warming up. He walked up to her and poured both buckets of water on her. And then he gave her a rocker and empty buckets and said:
- Go wife, bring some water. Now you’re all wet, and you won’t be afraid of the rain!
