Walking with the Creator of Good along the bridge over the Hao, Zhuang Tzu said:
- Minnows frolic freely, this is their joy!
“You’re not a fish,” objected the Creator of Good. - How do you know what her joy is?
“You’re not me,” Chuang Tzu objected. - How do you know what I know and what I don’t know?
“I’m not you,” the Good-Creator continued to argue, “and, of course, I don’t know what you know and what you don’t know.” But you are not a fish, and you cannot know what its joy is.
“Let me go back to the beginning,” said Chuang Tzu. - “How do you know what her joy is?” - you asked, I answered, and you learned what I knew. I learned this while walking above the Khao River.
