Unusual Prayer

Don't interfere with other people's love and prayer. Give up the idea that you know the way to pray and love. Just respect others no matter how they do it - their love and prayer is perfect for them.

Moses one day came to see a man who was praying, but he was saying such absurd things that Moses was taken aback. And not only absurd, but also offensive to God. This person said:

- Let me come closer to You, and I promise that I will wash Your body when it becomes dirty. If you are lousy, I will remove the lice. And I am a good shoemaker, I will make you beautiful shoes. No one is looking after You, but I will look after You. If you get sick, I will help you and bring you medicine. And I'm also a good cook.

Moses shouted:

- Stop, stop this nonsense. What are you talking about? That God has a lousy body? And that His clothes are dirty and you will clean them? And will you cook for Him? From whom did you learn this prayer?

The man answered confusedly:

— I didn’t study with anyone. I am a very poor and uneducated person. I do it the same way as things I know. Lice are bothering me, and apparently they are also bothering God. Sometimes my food is not very good and my stomach suffers. God must also suffer sometimes. It’s just that my personal experience became my prayer. But if you know how to pray correctly, please teach me.

And Moses taught him the correct prayer. The man bowed to Moses and thanked him with tears of deep respect. The man left, and Moses was happy, he thought he had done a good deed. He looked to the sky to see what God thought of him.

But God told him:

“I sent you to bring people to me, but now you have alienated one of my favorites from me.” Now your “correct” prayer, which you taught him, is not a prayer at all, because prayer is not something that is done according to the rules.

Prayer is love. And love carries the law within itself, it does not need another law. The prayer will be done with love. With love the truth. Remember, if you can understand the truth, the truth sets you free.
