Once upon a time there lived a strong hunter, Taulan, who never tired. He shared everything he had with his neighbors and respected his elders. Both his neighbors and everyone who knew him loved him very much.
One day a hunter, walking through the forest, noticed a white goat near a spring. Trying not to scare her away, he carefully raised the gun and, as soon as he took aim, instead of a goat he saw a beautiful girl. Golden hair braided, golden kamar with shiny diamonds and diamonds, white face, beautiful eyes, long eyelashes. As soon as the hunter lowered his gun, the girl disappeared and the same goat appeared. I took aim and she appeared again. The hunter's knees shook and his gun fell out. A girl’s ringing laughter and her loud voice were heard in the forest:
- Hey, horseman, don’t be afraid of me. You are a guest, you are Apsat’s guest,” she said.
Having difficulty coming to his senses, Taulan asked:
- Who are you? Is the white goat a hunter of hunters, or the most beautiful girl in the world?
“I am the daughter of Apsat, Fatima,” she answered.
The hunter and Fatima fell in love as soon as they saw each other. The hunter began to rarely appear at home. Every day, leaving to hunt, he began to return without prey: even if huge bison were grazing in the mountains, he did not see them. If he came across bears, he did not shoot at them. He did not shoot at the deer or goats, fearing that it was the beautiful Fatima.
Love brought them more grief than happiness. Both knew that celestial beings could not connect and live with people. Therefore, the hunter hid his love from his relatives. And Fatima did not tell her father about her love. They decided to escape to another area, where their friends and relatives were not.
Fatima put on men's clothes and put a hood over her head. Both mounted their horses and prepared to run. However, no clothes could hide the beauty and charm of the girl. All animals and birds reported everything to Apsat. Apsat got angry, sent his messengers after them and gave them a task:
“Find and kill the fugitives,” he said.
Fatima and Taulan walked through deserted places. Having discovered the messengers, they climbed the inaccessible mountains, leaving the horses in the gorge.
At the top of the mountain, Apsat's messengers almost caught up with them. Taulan and Fatima hid in the rocks, among huge stones. The birds, noticing the guy and the girl, started a hubbub. The horsemen, who walked without noticing them, turned around at the sound of birds and found the fugitives. They grabbed them and threw them off the cliff.
At that moment, Apsat's heart trembled. And then he turned both the girl and the horseman into eagles. Proud birds did not crash on a pile of stones, but flapped their wings and flew towards the sun.
Since then, these two eagles have built a nest on the highest place among the rocks. Every morning, as soon as the first ray of sun appears, they both fly out of the nest.
