A man entered a store, above the entrance of which hung a sign: “The Store of Truth.”
“What truth would you like to buy,” the saleswoman politely asked, “partial or complete?”
- Of course, full! — the visitor answered confidently. “I don’t accept any lies, no excuses, no after-the-fact explanations.” I want my truth to be clear and undistorted.
The saleswoman invited him to go to the far end of the store and there she pointed to a price tag on which was written “High price.”
- What is the price? - asked the buyer, deciding to get the whole truth at any price.
“Your peace of mind,” answered the saleswoman.
The buyer went outside with a heavy heart. He still wanted to be sure that his faith was true.
