Once upon a time, far, far away, in a fairy-tale country with high mountains, green meadows, and clear streams, there lived three goat brothers. Their last name was Count. The oldest brother was called the Huge Goat Count, the middle one was the Medium Goat Count, and the youngest was the Little Goat Count. They lived in a small clearing in the middle of a dense forest. The summer turned out to be dry that year, and the brothers quickly plucked out all the grass in their meadow. What should they do next? And they decided to go look for food for themselves. Brelioni wandered and came to a wide and deep river. On the other side of the river, the goat brothers saw a lush, green meadow.

- How good! - exclaimed the Little Goat Count. - When we eat this grass, we will become fat and fat.

“Yes, you’re right,” answered the Middle Goat Count.

“Let’s go there as soon as possible,” suggested the Huge Goat Count.

But the whole point is that under the bridge that stretches across the river, there is a zheltroll. But this was not the kind of troll that you imagine as a small, good-natured man, but on the contrary, this troll had a huge ugly head, long tangled hair, terrible eyes burning with anger, a red nose, large fangs and sharp claws. It was a very evil and scary troll. He sat under the bridge and guarded it.

The three brothers looked sadly towards the bridge.

- What to do with a troll? - whispered the Little Goat Count.

- Yes, what should we do? - asked the Middle Goat Count.

“I have a plan,” answered the Huge Goat Count.

The brothers consulted a little, and Little Goat Count went to the bridge. Before he could step onto the first log, an evil troll jumped out from under the bridge and rushed at him.

-Who are you? - he roared in an eerie voice. - And why are you walking on my bridge?

- I am the Little Goat Count. I want to cross the river on your bridge to get to the green lush meadow on the other bank.

- Oh so! - the troll laughed. - For this I will eat you now.

- Oh, please, don’t, don’t rush! - Little Goat Count pleaded. “Why don’t you wait for the other goat, he’s much fatter and tastier than me.”

“Perhaps you’re right,” said the troll, “go to the other side and don’t get in the way here.”

Little Goat barely crossed the bridge. The middle Goat Count went to meet the troll. He had not gone even a third of the way when he saw a troll.

-Who are you? And what are you doing on my bridge? - he shouted.

- I am the Middle Goat Count, and I walk across this bridge to the other side of this river.

- ABOUT! “I’ll eat you now for this,” the troll growled.

- Don't do this. Wait a little. Now another goat will cross this bridge. “He’s much bigger and tastier than me,” said the middle brother.

“Well, okay, come quickly,” answered the troll.

It was the turn of the Huge Goat Count to cross the bridge. Before he could reach the middle of the bridge, a troll jumped out to meet him.

-Who are you? And why are you standing on my bridge?

- I am the Huge Goat Count and I want to go to the other side of the river.

- Oh so! “I’m waiting for you to eat you,” the troll laughed.

“I came here to teach you a lesson,” answered the elder brother and butted the evil troll with his horns so that he fell from the bridge into the water and drowned.

And the Huge Goat Count calmly crossed to the other bank, where his brothers were waiting for him on a green, lush meadow.

Soon, when people found out that the troll was no longer there, they began to settle next to the bridge, fearing nothing, and the three Count goats ate the juicy grass and became fatter and fatter.
