Three dogs and a wolf

Three dogs and a wolf
Enlight

One day three dogs were chasing a wolf.

They rushed after him, sticking out their tongues, and did not give the wolf a break. The wolf was completely exhausted. With difficulty he climbed the hill, sat down on his hind legs and, turning to the dogs, growled:

- Stop! Let's think about why you are chasing me? The dogs stopped.

“Whose are you?” the wolf asked the black dog, baring his teeth.

- I am a shepherd's dog.

-Whose are you? - the wolf asked the white dog.

- I am a butcher's dog.

- I knew it! - said the wolf and lowered his head. Then, turning to the red dog, he asked her:

-Whose are you?

“I am the potter’s dog,” answered the red dog. Wolf said:

“You, black dog, have the right to chase me: I dragged a lot of sheep from the shepherd’s flock.”

The black dog nodded its head importantly.

“You, white dog, also have the right to chase me: I happened to steal meat from the butcher.”

And the white dog nodded its head in agreement.

- But you, the potter's dog! Why are you chasing me? Could I eat the potter's clay cups?

The red dog lowered its head in embarrassment and ran away.

“Should I get involved with a wolf for some pieces of meat?” - thought the white dog and also turned back.

“Oh, I wish I could stay face to face with the wolf!” — the shepherd’s dog thought with fear and set off after her friends.

And the wolf, having rested, went his way, laughing at the stupidity of the dogs.
