Three clever sons

Three clever sons
Enlight

The poor man had three sons. The sons grew up, and the father said to them:

- Go learn a craft, without a craft and skill you will have a bad time in life.

The sons left home, studied for a long time, and when they returned to their native land, they said to their father:

“Now we have become skilled people, we can earn our own living.”

The father was delighted with his sons and hurries to treat them. He took the eggs and began to cook scrambled eggs. And the eldest son says to him:

- Don't bother, father. I'm a cook now, I can fry an egg in a jiffy. And you go stand at the gate and wait.

The eldest son lit a hot fire from the grape leaves and, when the scrambled eggs were fried, he hit the handle of the frying pan with his fist: the scrambled eggs flew out into the chimney and plop straight onto his father’s plate!

The father is amazed at such dexterity, he is not surprised.

They sat down at the table. Suddenly, at the gate, the rider stops and asks for his horse to be shoed.

“This, father, is my business,” says the middle son. - I'm a blacksmith.

He took the horseshoe, put it in the fire and said to the rider:

- Take it back a little and gallop at full speed to the gate.

The rider rushed to the gate, and the middle son threw the horseshoe, and so deftly that it sat right on the horse’s hoof.

The father is amazed at such dexterity, he is not surprised.

Then suddenly hail fell. The father was afraid: now he will destroy all the crops.

The youngest son says:

“Now, father, it’s my turn to show what I’ve learned.”

He grabbed a stick and started fighting the hail. I smashed every hailstone on the fly. The hail did not reach the ground and did not destroy the harvest.

The father rejoices - this is how skillful and skilled his sons have become!
