Once upon a time there lived a sage. When he sees where the old rag is, he will pick it up, and then wrap it in a turban and hide it deeper. From the outside, the turban seemed huge and beautiful to people, but we know: the inside of the turban was made up of old rags.
One morning a wise man went to the market and on the way he encountered a thief. The thief pulled the turban off the sage - and ran! He is glad that he profited and got a rich turban. And the sage shouts after him:
- Hey, my dear! Unwind your turban! If you like it unwound, take it, don’t be shy, I’ll give it to you.
The thief stopped and began to unwrap his turban. He looks, there is very little good material inside, and the rest is all rags. Out of anger, he tore his turban and scattered the pieces to the wind. And shouts to the sage:
- Aren't you ashamed? What a cruel joke he played on me! Could I have thought that such a beautiful turban was stuffed with old stuff inside?!
“You speak wisely,” answered the sage, “but you also need to know: not all that glitters is beautiful.”
