There lived, as is the case in this world, a peasant. He kept two oxen, sheep and some other household items. And then two thieves climbed into his yard. We thought and thought about what to take, and decided to take the oxen with us. They took two oxen from the yard, and then the owner showed up. I'm angry - I have no strength.
“Run,” shouts the shepherd, “bring the oxen back to the yard!”
The shepherd ran and didn’t come back.
“Go,” the owner then says to the maid, “return the oxen to the yard!”
The maid ran and also did not return.
And then the old sky was replaced by a new one. The new sky is black. The moon, stars, and wind rule over it. The power of the winds over people, over the earth and animals lasts until dawn, and they do not like it when they are contradicted, while the peasant stomps his feet and threatens the sky with his fists.
Then Tramontana grabbed the peasant by the arms, spun him around, twirled him, and took him away with him.
On his road, Tramontana met a maid who ran after a shepherd, a shepherd who chased after thieves, thieves who took two oxen from the yard, and the oxen themselves who were walking along the road. The Tramontana wind decided to take them with it too. He lifted all seven high into the new sky, and they became stars.
So we stayed in the new heaven. Seven stars walk one after another along the black celestial road: a peasant, a maid, a shepherd, two thieves and two oxen. These are the main stars in the night sky. They are also called the Big Dipper, but the stars probably already received this name in another country, because in Baskonia no one threw a bear into the sky.
