The tale of how PR got to the moon

Do you think that the Moon that rises in the new sky has always been like this? No. Old people in the Pyrenees remember that there was not a speck or a shadow on it, light, clean, like a just washed plate, it rose above the mountains. And on those nights when the Moon looked with all its eyes at the Earth, the North wind, Tramontana, walked through the Pyrenees. This is an angry wind, you can’t expect any good from it: it will either cover your eyes with snow, or throw dust up your collar, or drive you off the road. And the worst thing is that Tramontana did not tolerate being scolded. Whatever he does, everything is fine, everything is allowed to him. And then one day the Tramontana blew all night long, froze the sheep, drove people into their houses, and didn’t even let them go out to get firewood. So the patience of one Basque, who lived in a village not far from Midday Peak, ran out. Piar - that was his name - came out of the threshold, raised his face to the sky and began to scold Tramontana, almost calling him to measure his strength... He heard Tramontana as Piar scolded him. He grinned, picked up the daredevil from the ground, lifted him into the sky, forced him to walk along all the heavenly roads and brought him to the Moon.

And when PR got to the Moon, Tramontana abandoned him. The Basque began to live alone on the moon. Of course, there are mountains there too, but is the Pyrenees a match? PR walks through the lunar mountains, walks, searches for the way back to Earth, but can’t find it. And PR cannot help those who remain on Earth. People see his shadow on the Moon, but do not know the road to the Moon. Only Tramontana knows about it, but does he really care about human worries and sorrows? Tramontana forgot to think about PR. And the Basque on Earth, as soon as he looks at the Moon, inadvertently sighs: somehow Piaru is in foreign mountains, and there is no one to exchange a word with...

And those who don’t know this fairy tale simply see some spots and shadows on the Moon. They don’t seem to even know that PR is there all alone...
