This happened in ancient times, when our great-grandfathers did not yet know rye and wheat. On the banks of the Drava River in Korushka lived a rich fisherman. He acquired all his wealth by tirelessly fishing in the Drava. How grateful he was to his native river! And then one day he asked the river:
- Mother Drava! Tell me, how can I repay you for helping me achieve great wealth?
“Go to distant lands,” Drava answered the fisherman. — There, in a distant land, people bake wheat and rye bread. Buy a loaf of both breads and bring them to me!
The fisherman set off and finally came to fertile, rich lands. People there ate a wonderful dish - bread, but in the fisherman’s homeland they didn’t even know it. The fisherman bought, as Drava ordered, two loaves, one wheat and the other rye, and, returning home, he threw both into the river. Suddenly the water in the Drava began to rise and flooded the entire right bank. And when the water subsided, the earth began to give birth to bulk rye and golden wheat.
So people received seeds and began to sow rye and wheat everywhere.
