The power of knowledge

In a certain village lived four bosom friends, the sons of brahmanas. Three of them knew all the sastras by heart, but were devoid of common sense. The fourth was generously endowed with common sense, but did not know the sastras at all. One day they all got together and had the following conversation:

- What is the use of our learning if we do not go to another country to serve its ruler there and gain wealth for ourselves? Why don't we go east?

That's what they decided.

On the way, the elder said:

“One of us is a complete ignorant of the sastras. He has no other virtues other than common sense. But how can one earn the mercy of the ruler without proper learning? Let him go home.

“Hey, sensible guy, go home,” supported the second one. - After all, you don’t understand anything about the shastras.

“It’s no good to drive him away, because we’ve been inseparable since childhood,” a third stood up for his friend. - Let him come with us.

And everyone agreed and went. Passing through the forest, they saw the bones of a dead lion.

“This is a good opportunity to test the power of our knowledge,” said one. - Let's resurrect the lion. I can collect the bones.

He collected the bones, the second clothed them with bodily flesh, filled the veins with blood, and the third tried to breathe life into the dead lion.

The sane one tried to dissuade him:

- Wait, venerable one, it’s a lion. If you resurrect him, he will tear us all to pieces.

“I don’t care about your stupid reasoning,” he replied. “Now you will see the power of my knowledge.”

“Then wait until I climb the tree,” asked the sane one.

As soon as the lion resurrected, he immediately attacked the three scientists and tore them to pieces.
