The most amazing dream

Once upon a time there lived three fools. One day they went to the market to buy some household items. On the way, they stopped to rest and decided to cook milk rice porridge. The porridge was cooked, and all three ate their fill. There was a lot of porridge, so no matter how hard the fools tried, they couldn’t finish it all. None of them dared to throw away the remains: it was a pity.

They began to think about what to do with the remaining porridge. The best thing would be to eat porridge in the morning. But it was here that a dispute broke out between them.

“Now I’ve eaten the least of everyone,” said one, “so I’ll eat everything that’s left in the morning alone.”

But the second fool did not agree to this and also said that in the morning he would handle all the mess alone.

The third also demanded all the porridge for himself. They argued for a long time and finally decided: whoever has the most amazing dream at night will eat the porridge.

Night has come. All three went to bed, dreaming of having a good dream. The two fools fell asleep peacefully. They knew that they would dream something. And the third one couldn’t sleep. He was tormented by anxiety: what if he didn’t see any sleep?

Midnight passed, morning was approaching, and he still couldn’t fall asleep.

“It’s a bad thing,” he thought, “I won’t see any porridge!”

And suddenly he wanted porridge more than he had ever wanted in his life. He lay there for a long time and finally couldn’t stand it: he got up slowly and ate all the porridge. And then he lay down and immediately fell asleep. Morning has come. All three woke up and looked at each other warily: did anyone get up earlier than the others? The first two fools were eager to talk about their dreams. It is not known whether they actually dreamed anything or not, but they made up stories. And as soon as the topic of porridge came up, the first one said:

- Well, brothers, let's tell you our dreams!

- Let me go first! – exclaimed the second. He scratched his head and began to talk:

– I dreamed that I was walking in a large garden. Everywhere you look there are flowers - red, yellow, green and even black. Bees are buzzing over the flowers. I started singing a song. A maiden heard my singing of heavenly beauty... I looked, she came up to me and said: “I have never seen such a handsome man before.” Then she hugged me...

And he told his dream to the end.

- Now it's your turn! - said the first fool to the third.

“No, you tell me first,” he answered, “and then I will.”

“Well, okay,” agreed the first. And he said that he dreamed that he became a rajah.

It was the third's turn to talk.

“And I, brothers, had such a terrible dream!” he began. “It was as if an evil demon grabbed me and started beating me!” He beats and beats, and he himself sentences...

- What did he say?

- And here’s what: “Eat all the porridge now, otherwise I won’t let you go alive!”

- So what, you had to eat all the porridge?

- How could I not do this? – answered the third fool. “After all, he didn’t stop beating me!”

- You should have called us! - said both other fools.

- How could I call you? After all, one of you was a rajah, and the other was embraced by a heavenly maiden!

What could they answer to this? So the two fools were left without porridge.

It turns out that some fools can sometimes be smart!
