The mosquito gadfly is not a friend

A gadfly flies, looks around, and a mosquito sits under a bush in the cold. The Gadfly says to him:

“Let’s fly, brother, for company!” “Eh, that’s good for you, you only have ribs, and I’m fat, I’m afraid of the sun.” “Well, if so, then goodbye.” “Good health,” answered the mosquito.

As soon as the sun sets, a mosquito flies, hums a song, and thinks: “I’ll meet a horse or a person, so I’ll eat it!” Lo and behold, a gadfly is sitting on a dry branch, sulking, dozing.

- Oh, great, buddy! - says the mosquito, pushing the gadfly with his foot. - Well, what? “Great,” answers the sleepy gadfly. “Let’s fly, brother, now for company!” Apparently, the gadfly is not a mosquito’s friend! “Good night,” answered the gadfly, rubbed his hind legs one against the other, and began to snore.
