One day, a good but unhappy man decided to sell his soul to the devil in order to get rid of his countless problems. He called Kizin with a spell and when he appeared in front of him, he told him about his decision. Kizin liked the idea of taking the soul of a good man. In exchange for his soul, the man asked for seven wishes to be granted: one wish every day for a week.
On the first day he asked for money and immediately his pockets were filled with gold. On the second day, he asked for good health, which was immediately granted. On the third day he became hungry and asked for food, and ate until he had eaten his fill. On the fourth day, he asked for a woman and was immediately surrounded by the most beautiful women imaginable. On the fifth day, he wanted power and lived as a local ruler. On the sixth day he wanted to travel and instantly he visited a thousand different places at once.
Then Kizin told him:
- “What do you want now? Think carefully, for this is your seventh day and your last wish!
- “And now I want to satisfy my little whim.”
- “Tell me which one and I will fulfill it!”
- “I want the black beans to be washed until they turn white.”
“It’s simple,” said Kizin.
And he began to wash the beans, but they did not turn white. And then Kizin thought: “This man deceived me, and I lost his soul. To prevent this from happening again, from now on the beans will be black, white, yellow and red.”
