The Legend of Moses

The Legend of Moses
Enlight

One day Moses asked God to show him one of God's friends, and a voice answered:

- Go to such and such a valley, there you will find one lover, one of the chosen ones, who follows the Path.

Moses went and found this man, dressed in rags, eaten by all kinds of insects. Moses said:

- Is there anything I can do to help you?

The man replied:

“Messenger of the Lord, bring me a mug of water, I’m thirsty.”

When Moses returned with the water, he found the man already dead. He went to look for something to cover the body. When he returned, the body was completely eaten by a desert lion. Moses' grief knew no bounds, he shouted:

“Omnipotent and Omniscient One, you turn human beings into clay. Some go to heaven, others go through torment, some are happy, others are unhappy. This is a paradox that no one can understand.

Then an inner voice said to Moses:

“This man relied on Me for drinking and then abandoned his trust. He relied on Moses for his survival, thus trusting the mediator. He was wrong to turn to someone else for help after he had completely surrendered to Me.

Your heart clings to objects again and again. You must know how to maintain a connecting thread with your source.
