Once upon a time there lived a giant. He ate seven bowls of porridge, drank seven mugs of milk, but still remained hungry. So he went to look for something else to profit from. He meets a cow. - Hello, horned cow! - says the giant. “I ate seven bowls of porridge and seven mugs of milk and I’ll eat you!”

“And I’ll run away,” the cow answers.

“I’ll catch up,” said the giant and ate her. He went further and met a calf.

- Hello, little calf! - says the giant. “I ate seven bowls of porridge and seven mugs of milk, and I’ll eat a horned cow and you, little shoot!”

“And I’ll run away,” says the calf.

“I’ll catch up,” said the giant and ate him. He goes further and meets a fox.

- Hello, little fox-sister! - says the giant. “I ate seven bowls of porridge and seven mugs of milk, and a horned cow, and a young calf, and I’ll eat you, little sister!”

“And I’ll run away,” the fox answers.

“I’ll catch up,” said the giant and ate her. He went further and met a horse.

- Hello, hard-working horse! - says the giant. “I ate seven bowls of porridge and seven mugs of milk, and a horned cow, and a baby calf, and a little fox-sister, and I’ll eat you, the hard worker!”

“And I’ll run away,” the horse answers.

“I’ll catch up,” said the giant and ate him. He goes further and sees five diggers digging a hole.

- Hello, diggers! - says the giant. “I ate seven bowls of porridge and seven mugs of milk, and a horned cow, and a baby calf, and a little fox sister, and a hard-working horse, and I’ll eat you diggers!”

“And we will run away,” the diggers answer.

“And I’ll catch up,” said the giant and ate them. He went further and saw seven girls dancing merrily.

- Hello, laughing dancers! - the giant tells them. “I ate seven bowls of porridge and seven mugs of milk, and a horned cow, and a young calf, and a little fox-sister, and a hard-working horse, and five diggers, and I’ll eat you, the dancer!”

“We’ll run away,” the girls answer.

“And I’ll catch up,” said the giant and ate them.

He goes further and sees a squirrel jumping along the road.

- Hello, waxwing squirrel! - says the giant. “I ate seven bowls of porridge and seven mugs of milk, and a horned cow, and a baby calf, and a sister fox, and a hard-working horse, and five diggers and seven laughing dancers, and I’ll eat you, waxwing!”

“And I’ll run away,” the squirrel answers.

“I’ll catch up,” said the giant.

Yes, only the squirrel jumped onto a tall pine tree, to the very top. The giant lifted his head to see where it had gone, saw the sun and burst. And they went outside:

seven laughing dancers, and five diggers, and a hard-working horse, and a little fox-sister, and a baby calf, and a horned cow, and milk and porridge, that’s our whole fairy tale.
