The seeker replied:
- Teacher! I am not interested in worldly affairs. I am looking for a way to God!
- Have you never loved a woman? Have you never loved a child?
“I already told you that I am not an ordinary layman.” I am a person who wants to know God. Vain life and vain feelings do not interest me. I've never loved anyone.
Ramanuji said sadly:
“Then you will not be able to find the way to God.” You ask me how to climb the last step of the ladder, but you have not yet stepped on the first. Go and love someone! This will be your first step on the way.
