- You're talking about useless things.
“You can talk about useful things with those who have known useless things,” answered Zhuang Tzu. “After all, the earth is both great and wide, but a person uses it only to the extent of his foot.” Is the earth still useful to a person when a grave is dug for him next to his feet all the way to the Yellow Springs?
“It’s useless,” answered the Creator of Good.
“In this case,” said Chuang Tzu, “the benefit of the useless becomes clear.”
