Before, almost every village had its own healer. And no matter what the witch doctor is, he is the worst rogue. He’s a healer, he whispers, he pulls out twists, and he does all sorts of witchcraft. People were afraid of them and catered to them like they were an evil disease.
Well, it means that in one village there was such a healer. He was known not only throughout the outskirts, but throughout the entire district. And no one dared to contradict him, lest he invite some kind of trouble.
And there lived in that village one brave man. His name was Todor. He traveled a lot around the world, where he had been, and what he had seen.
“This healer is fooling you,” Todor says to his neighbors. “He doesn’t know or know anything.”
- And what are you saying! — the neighbors don’t believe it. - See that he doesn’t send trouble to you...
“Well, you’ll see for yourself whether I’m telling the truth or not.”
Todor went to his life and made a spin. A few days later he comes to the healer.
“So, they say, and so,” he says, “some villain made a twist on my life.” I'm afraid something bad might happen. Go grab it. You hang out with this evil spirits. I'll pay you whatever you want.
The healer heard about the payment and readily agreed. They went to the field. The healer looked at the twist from afar and said:
- It's a really scary twist. It’s just that I’m afraid to start doing it myself.
He took off his shirt to let more fog fall on Todor, and crawled on all fours towards the spinner.
The healer is crawling and grunting all the time, as if someone had made a very terrible twist: it looks like the owner has died.
Todorov’s neighbors also came there to see how the healer would pull out the terrible twist.
Then Todor, without hesitation, sat astride the healer, took out a club from under his coat and began to bludgeon the deceiver.
- I’ll show you this terrible twist, you scoundrel! I did it myself!
The healer screams at the top of his lungs, and Todor hits him with anything. He beat and beat, and then asked:
- Well, are you going to fool good people?
“No,” the healer groans, “just let me go alive.”
Todor released the healer, he got up and ran away - and refused the shirt.
The neighbors got scared and decided that the healer would kill Todor from the world: after all, he can do anything... But a week passes, two weeks, and Todor lives for himself and spits on the healer.
And the healer groaned and groaned, and went crazy - apparently, Todor’s club was stronger than his witchcraft.
