Once upon a time there was a girl whose parents had a prophetic dream and were very afraid that she would give birth to a child without getting married. Therefore, her mother always watched her and never let her out of the house alone.

This continued until I was seventeen. Until one day the girl dropped a precious ring at the bottom of the fountain that flowed in the middle of their yard. I must say that the water in the fountain was very clear and clean. The girl was terribly frightened and began to cry bitterly. But then a fish popped out of the water and handed her the dropped ring.

After some time, the girl’s parents noticed that her figure had noticeably rounded. They were angry, but then they realized that the girl was innocent and did not blame her for what had happened.

After the allotted time, a very handsome boy was born, but the girl’s parents hastened to get rid of him, putting the baby in a wooden box, which they lowered into the river, hoping that he would drown.

But he didn't drown. He was found by a husband and wife, no longer young and childless. They adopted the boy with great joy. He grew and developed by leaps and bounds. Soon he became so skilled at archery that every day he brought home a bird, a rabbit, or even a deer. There was no meat left in the old men's hut.

But then one day trouble came to their house. The terrible cannibal giant Xochicalcatl demanded the elderly: their turn had come to become his victims. It must be said that this monster fed exclusively on old people. But when his servants came to take the old Indian and his wife to Xochicalcatl, the boy begged the old men to let him go in their place. He promised that everything would be fine and he would definitely return home safe and sound.

They walked for a very long time and finally arrived at the house of Xochicalcatl, who, as legend says, lived in Xochicalco. The servants lit a fire and placed a huge vat on it, in which the old men were supposed to boil. When it was the boy's turn, Xochicalcatl was very angry with his servants for bringing such a small boy. But the cannibal was hungry and decided to eat the boy alive.

The boy slowly clenched the pieces of obsidian in his fists. The ogre opened his huge mouth and swallowed the boy. When the boy found himself in the ogre's stomach, he took pieces of obsidian and cut the ogre's entire stomach, and he died in terrible agony.

Now the old people are dying a natural death because there is no more cannibal who ate them.
