And a merchant passed by and covered the scroll with the figures of his income. But the hermit did not tire of putting down the following list, and so on until the end of his work and his day.
When the Supreme One asked him:
— How did you distribute the Teaching?
He replied:
“It’s not for me to judge which bird will make the best nest from the drawings.”
So we don’t know who will give the list to be tormented, who to oblivion, and who will put it under their headboard in order to establish their foundation on it...
