Swallow and snake

by
Swallow and snake
Enlight

The swallow made a nest for itself right next to the house and brought out the chicks. When she flew away to get food, a snake crawled and ate them.

Returning to her place, the swallow did not find her children and began to cry bitterly. A friend arrived and began to console her.

Listening to her words, the swallow said:

“I grieve not only because my children died. My grief is especially great since they died near human habitation, where I felt safe.

It is doubly difficult for a person when he is overtaken by a sudden blow and trouble falls from where one does not expect it at all.
