“When the sun rises, it is large, like a canopy over a chariot, but at its zenith it is small, like a plate.” Doesn't an object seem small from afar and large up close?!
“When the sun rises, it is cool, but at its zenith it burns like boiling water,” said the second boy. “Doesn’t an object seem hot up close and cold from a distance?”
Confucius could not solve the question, and both boys laughed at him: “Who thinks you know a lot?!”
