Stupid wolf

Once upon a time there lived a wolf. He had no luck in life. For a long time He ran uselessly through the canyons and ravines and could not find food for himself. Finally, he became so emaciated that he could barely move and with difficulty climbed out of the shallow ravine. Then he met a goat.

“I’ll eat you,” said the wolf to the goat.

“Okay,” answered the goat, “but, in honor, I must warn you: now my meat is tasteless.” If you agree to wait a little, I’ll run to that mountain over there, eat young green onions there, then my meat will become delicious, delicious, and you’ll eat me with pleasure.

The wolf believed the goat and let him go. The wolf waited a long time for the goat to return, but did not wait and went after him himself. He crossed the mountain and looked: there was neither a goat nor a bow there. The wolf howled about grief:

Hey skinny wolf

Old fool!

I saw a goat -

Eat it quickly!

Does it need seasoning?

Is it really tasteless without onions?

You have nothing to eat

And you yawn!

Now do you know what will happen? —

You will die!

The hungry wolf trudged across the field; his legs were staggering, his eyes were dim.

Seeing the wolf exhausted from hunger, mice and rats fearlessly jumped out of their holes, twirling their mustaches and laughing at him.

Crows were already flying above the wolf's head, cawing, anticipating a feast.

Suddenly the wolf saw a horse coming towards him.

- I'll eat you! - the wolf shouted to her.

“Okay, eat,” answered the horse. “But I must tell you: I am carrying an important letter.” If you wait a little, I’ll quickly run away, give it to you and come back. Then you will eat me even more willingly.

“You obviously want to deceive me, like that goat!” - said the wolf. - Show me the letter!

“It’s hidden under the hoof of my right hind leg,” said the horse. “If you don’t believe it, then come and read it yourself!”

The wolf began to approach the horse's rear right leg. She stood there with her ears pricked up. As soon as the wolf tried to look under her hoof, the horse kicked him in the face so hard that he immediately knocked out all his teeth. The wolf fell down dead, and the horse galloped away.

The wolf woke up and saw that he had not only lost his horse, but was left without teeth. Again he began to scold himself:

Hey skinny wolf

Old fool!

I saw a horse -

Grab her quickly!

What do you care about letters?

How literate you are!

Now do you know what will happen?

You will die.

And so it happened.
