A bear once saw in a dream that he managed to get three fatty pieces of meat. He woke up in the morning and went in search of these pieces - suddenly the dream would come true!
So the bear noticed a kid in the distance, headed towards him, and the little goat saw that he couldn’t run away, so he didn’t get confused, went up to the bear and bowed low to him.
- Do you know me? - the bear asked him.
“Of course,” answered the little goat. “Everyone knows you, O Khoja-kedkhuda.” And me even more so, because I was your father’s court singer.
“Then sing for me too,” the bear asked.
The kid began to bleat loudly, and the shepherd heard it. He came running with the shepherd dogs, beat the bear with a club, and the dogs also bit him - the bear barely escaped.
The bear went further, and two rams met him. “I’ll eat them,” thought the bear.
He called the sheep, they saw that it was impossible to escape, they conspired and approached the bear.
“We are very glad,” they say, “that we will become the food of Khoja-Kedkhuda.”
And let the sheep argue about who the bear should eat first. Finally one suggested:
- With the permission of Khoja-Kedkhuda, we will fight on the horns. And let him eat the winner first.
They chose a bear to be the judge, retreated fifty steps, and how they hit the bear in the sides with their horns! The poor fellow fell, and when he came to his senses, there was no trace of the sheep.
The bear lay down under a tree for two hours, then got up and set off on its way. And towards him was a camel. The bear thought: “This is the best: fatter and more meat.”
He shouted at the top of his voice:
- Hey, camel! Stop, I saw in a dream that I had to eat you!
“Hello, Khoja-Kedkhuda,” answered the camel.
- How do you know me? - asked the bear.
- Who doesn’t know you! - The camel answered. “And I especially, I am your father’s messenger.” I am now bringing you a message from my father.
- Where is it?
“It’s written on my hoof,” answered the camel. The bear crouched down to read the message, and the camel kicked him in the chest so hard that he flew ten steps away and lost consciousness. Only before sunset the bear came to his senses and understood how to interpret his dream.
