There lived one little bunny, his name was Stubborn. He never listened to anyone, he did everything his own way. And this is what came out of it.
The stubborn man loved to ride, and the father hare bought him a quiet donkey with a small donkey. Stubborn got on his donkey and went to visit his aunt. And in order to get to her, it was necessary to drive through the Thorn Thickets.
On the way, Stubborn met the rabbit brothers. They shouted:
- Come back, Stubborn! The Thorn Thickets are a dangerous place. You can't go there alone.
And Stubborn only waved his paw in response and moved on.
How can you convince someone like that?
He rides for himself, doesn’t want to know anything, he gently urges the donkey with a stick. A little donkey runs behind him, kicks his legs, and jingles his bell.
And in the Prickly Thickets lived a father fox, a mother fox and a little fox.
The little fox heard a bell ringing somewhere. Navo-. shaved his ears, listened, listened and said:
- This is the Stubborn Donkey riding on his donkey, and the little donkey is running after him.
“Now we’ll show him how to drive through our Thorny Thickets.” “I’ll take his donkey away!” said the fox.
“And I’m a little donkey!” said the fox.
“And I’ll strip him naked!” said the little fox.
But the Stubborn Man goes on his own and doesn’t sense trouble. Now he reached the middle of the Thorn Thickets.
The time has come to midday, it is hot, stuffy, the sun is blazing. The little donkey got tired and began to lag behind. To keep him from getting lost, Stubborn had to look around all the time and call him: “Hoot-hut-hut!”
By the end, Stubborn even had a sore neck. He thought: “Once the bell rings, it means the little donkey is running after him. Why should I look around in vain and break my neck?”
And he didn’t look back anymore.
And that’s all the fox needs. He quietly crept up from behind, took the bell from the donkey and tied it to the donkey’s tail. And he took the donkey away.
Stubborn goes further, the bell rings, which means he’s thinking, and the little donkey runs after him. So he reached the bend in the road.
Suddenly a fox jumped out from behind the bushes.
- Hey, little bunny, where are you going alone?
The stubborn man just thought: “Lest the cunning fox steals away my donkey,” he looked around, but the donkey was not there.
“Oh, oh, my little donkey!” cried Stubborn. “Where are you, my little donkey?”
The fox wagged its tail and said so affectionately:
- Don't cry, darling. Your little donkey is standing behind that bush - he doesn’t know where to go next. Run, get him. In the meantime, I’ll take care of the donkey.
Stubborn was delighted, got off the donkey and ran back to the bend in the road. And the fox jumped on the donkey and disappeared into the thickets.
Stubborn ran to the bush and looked - there was no donkey there. He returned back, but the fox and donkey were gone.
Stubborn was frightened: “Here, perhaps, they will steal me too.” And he started to run.
Stubborn ran to the pond and stopped to drink water. He sees a little fox sitting on the shore and crying bitterly:
“Why are you crying?” asked Stubborn.
“Brother,” the little fox answers, “I’m in trouble.” My mother gave me a gold one and sent me to the market. And I dropped that golden one into the water. Now my mother will kill me.
And the little fox cried even more bitterly.
The stubborn fox took pity on the little fox and began to console him:
- Don't cry. Tears won't help your grief. The little fox wiped his tears and asked:
-Can you swim?
“I can,” answers Stubborn.
- If you can, then get me a gold one. I'll give you ten silver coins for this.
“Ten silver coins! - thought Stubborn. “Yes, for this you can buy another donkey with a little donkey!” And he agreed.
He quickly took off his clothes and dived into the pond. The little fox laughed:
“So I stripped the Stubborn Man naked.” He grabbed the bunny’s clothes and ran away.
And the Stubborn Man searched for gold at the bottom of the pond for a long time. Finding nothing, I climbed out of the water. He looks, and on the shore there is no fox cub, no clothes. So I ran home naked.
Since then, Stubborn has listened to good advice. And I didn’t go to the Thorn Thickets anymore.
