A screaming partridge sat on a tree branch in the forest. Suddenly something fell on her head.
- Oh people! “Our sky is falling!” cried the Screaming Partridge. “I’ll go and report to the eagle owner that the sky is falling.”
She walked and walked and met a long-necked wood grouse. Longneck Capercaillie says:
- Screaming Partridge, where are you going?
“Oh, I’m going to report to the owner that the sky is falling?” says the Screaming Partridge.
“Can I go with you?” asks Capercaillie-long-neck.
“Okay, go!” answers the Screaming Partridge. And so the Screaming Partridge and the Long-necked Capercaillie went together to report to the owner-eagle that the sky was falling. They walked and walked, and they met the Fat Duck.
“Crying partridge, Long-necked wood grouse, where are you going?” asks the Flying Duck.
“Oh, we’re going to report to the owner that the sky is falling!” said the Screaming Partridge and the Long-necked Capercaillie.
-Can I go with you? - asks the Fat Duck.
- Of course you can! - answer the Screaming Partridge and the Long-Necked Wood Grouse.
And so the Screaming Partridge, the Long-necked Capercaillie and the Fat Duck all went together to report to the owner that the sky was falling. They walked and walked, and they met a gray hazel grouse.
- Screaming partridge, Long-necked wood grouse, Fat duck, where are you going? - asked the gray hazel grouse. - Oh, we’re going to report to the owner that the sky is falling! - said the Screaming Partridge, the Long-necked Capercaillie and the Fat Duck.
-Can I go with you? - asked the gray hazel grouse.
“Of course, you can!” answered the Screaming Partridge, the Long-necked Capercaillie and the Fat Duck.
And the four of them went to report to the owner that the sky was falling. They walked and walked, and they met the deceiver Fox.
“Where are you going?” asked the deceiver Fox.
“We’re going to report to the owner that the sky is falling.”
- But you’re going the wrong way! I know the real road; if you want, I'll show it to you!
“Okay, show me which road leads to the owner,” said the Screaming Partridge and the Long-necked Wood Grouse. Fat duck and gray hazel grouse.
And they all went after the Trickster Fox. They walked and walked and came to a dark hole. It was a fox hole. The deceitful fox said:
- So we came to the owner’s house. I will enter the house first, and you do not lag behind and enter after me.
The fox entered her hole, hid and began to wait. The Longneck Capercaillie followed her. The deceiving fox grabbed him, gnawed his throat and threw him over her head.
Then, after the wood grouse, the Fat Duck entered. The fox grabbed her and strangled her. Following the duck, the gray hazel grouse entered the hole. When the fox attacked him, he screamed loudly.
The screaming partridge heard the cry of the gray hazel grouse and ran as fast as she could to her home.
She never reported to the eagle that the sky was falling.
