Once upon a time there lived a rich gentleman. The master had a hefty speckled pig, and it grazed in the field. One day the master looks - the poor man kneels down and bows to the pig. Barin asks:
- Why are you bowing to my pig? The poor man says in response:
- I ask her to come to me today, I called guests for the evening
“Well then, take her with you,” said the master.
The poor man took the pig and took it away. The master waited and waited for the poor man to bring the pig back, and without waiting, he went after it himself. He came to the poor man and asked him to give the pig back. The poor man says that now the pig is with the neighbor, he also has guests. The poor man went to get the pig, but soon returned, asking the master for a horse, because the neighbor is rich and ashamed to go to him on foot. The master gave him a horse. Having traveled halfway, the poor man realizes that he should ask the master for better clothes. No sooner said than done. The poor man returned, and the master gave him clothes.
Here a poor man goes as a master to a neighbor to buy a pig, and the master, wearing the poor man’s old clothes, waits for him, but he doesn’t even think of returning.
The master waited until evening, became numb from the cold and went to his estate. The lady noticed a man in tattered clothes, mistook him for a beggar and ordered him to be beaten thoroughly so that he would not be allowed to interfere with the manor’s estate.
The servants, when they beat him, even though they recognized the master, were glad to settle scores with him.
The lady only recognized her husband when he began to call for help, but it was too late - after all, she herself ordered him to be beaten.
The master now understood how the poor man had deceived him. And he lives for himself and doesn’t give a damn, keeps a master’s pig and a horse and flaunts in master’s clothes.
