The wife of one poor peasant sold her love for money. She told her husband that she was doing this to help him feed his five children. She charged inexpensively for carnal pleasures: only one and a half reals.
Once she served a very well-dressed horseman like this. He paid her well. In fact, it was a werewolf sorcerer. As he left, he politely asked her if he could be of any use to her.
The woman replied that she did not need anything, and the sorcerer left. However, after some time, he reappeared to use her services. Before leaving, he filled her wallet to the top with money. But the woman never realized that she had sold herself to the devil.
So she found herself in the service of the devil, who soon took her to his village, where corrupt women, as well as drunkards, gamblers and other sinners, were having fun in the square.
The unfortunate peasant, who endured many hardships and hardships after his wife left with the devil, continued to love her and persistently searched for her. With the help of St. Peter, he even managed to visit the devil's village. The unfaithful wife looked sad and did not try to hug her husband. But when she approached him, Saint Peter raised his right hand and forcefully pushed the unfortunate woman back to the same distance. Then they went back...
On the way back, they suddenly saw a heifer tied to a ceiba. They were going to kill her by breaking her back. In fact, a peasant’s wife was turned into a heifer in order to sell her for meat and pay the sorcerer. The poor husband, not suspecting anything, exclaimed:
- What a beautiful animal they will kill!
“This is your wife,” answered Saint Peter, “only she is in the skin of a heifer, keep your eyes open.”
It was the honest truth. The heifer's skin was shiny. The shepherd managed to tie her by the horns and take her to the slaughterhouse. A slaughterman immediately appeared and immediately killed the animal. After which they skinned the heifer, cut up the carcass and began selling the meat. When everything was sold and the income was calculated, it turned out that the required amount had not yet been collected. Then the sellers said that if they killed her two more times, they would get the money they needed.
And only then did the peasant finally believe that his wife had really sold her soul.
“Now that you have seen how your wife was killed, let’s get out of here,” St. Peter hurried.
Returning to the world of the living, the peasant came to his mother-in-law and, with pain in his heart, told her about everything he had seen.
“It can’t be,” said the mother-in-law, “I taught her only good things.”
The peasant replied:
“I’m very sorry, I also couldn’t believe it until I saw everything with my own eyes.”
The disappointment and grief experienced by his wife's mother were so great that she hanged herself that same day.
This is what always happens to bad women who are bought by the devil - he kills them and sells their bodies for meat.
And yesterday, when I passed by that peasant’s house, he kept praying and praying to God for the salvation of his wife’s soul.
