Mulla Nasreddin was going to have lunch. It is known: whoever loves money loves only money. Therefore, Mulla ordered his servant:
“Bring dinner to the table, and then lock the gate and tell everyone that I’m not at home.” I don't like guests!
The son of Nasreddin heard these words. And it is known: the son of a rich father is often poor in soul. Here he says:
- Oh, father! Wouldn’t it be better if the servant first told all the neighbors that we were not at home, then locked the gate and only after that served dinner?
The old miser listened to the young miser, was upset and at the same time happy, laughed and cried at the same time:
“When in his old age my son refuses to feed me, it will be comforting for me to know that my son took after me!”
