This was in very ancient times, when our ancestors were not yet born. One day a terrible storm broke out in a large forest at night. She uprooted trees, broke thick branches, and tore off leaves. The animals hid in their holes in fear. The howl of the wind was so terrible that it seemed as if death itself was howling. The storm raged for several days and finally subsided.

There lived a rooster and a hen in the forest. The storm took away their chickens. When the wind died down, the hen said to the rooster:

- I can't stay here anymore. We need to move to another place.

The rooster agreed, and they went to look for a new shelter. On the way they met a duck and a drake. And the duck asked the hen:

- Sister! Where are you going?

“Now we are afraid to stay in this forest,” she answered, “so we are going to look for new housing.”

“Take us with you,” said the duck and the drake. “We don’t want to live here anymore either.”

The four of them set off further. Soon they met a peacock and a peahen.

“Where are you all going?” asked the peacock.

“We are scared here, in this forest, so we are going to look for new housing,” answered the chicken.

“Take us with you,” the peahen asked. “We don’t like it here either.”

The six of them went, and they met a hare. He joined them, and the seven of them went on.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a fox comes towards you. She saw the settlers and was surprised:

-Where are you, my dears, going?

“We are afraid to stay in this forest, so we are going to look for new housing.

The fox was even more surprised, thought for a while, and then smiled and said:

Don't leave our forest! I know one good place. Do you want me to show it to you? It’s calm there, and you’ll live happily ever after.

At first no one believed her. But the fox praised his place so much that everyone finally agreed to look at it and said:

“Okay, first let’s go see what kind of place you’re praising so much.” If you don't like it, let's move on.

The fox led them straight to her hole and said:

“Then the road is very narrow, I will go forward, and you follow me one by one.”

With these words, she darted into the hole and hid there. And first the peacock followed, then the drake, then everyone else.

The fox twisted everyone's head. When she started eating the chicken, it clucked loudly, and the hare sensed something bad. He guessed that the fox had tricked them, jumped out of the hole and started running! Fox is behind him. But the hare ran faster, and the fox had to return. But she was still very pleased with her catch and had a hearty lunch.
