Once upon a time there lived six brothers. The youngest of them was very handsome. Simply handsome. Once, while hunting, he fell asleep on the bank of a stream.
Meanwhile, a girl sent by her mother came to this stream for water. It was there that she saw the sleeping young man. I saw it and immediately fell in love with it. Waking up, the young man saw a beautiful girl in front of him and also fell in love with her at first sight. “Let’s leave here together, get married and build our own house,” he suggested. “Okay,” said the girl. “But I’ll just bring the water home first.”
At home, the girl told her parents that she wanted to marry the young man she met at the stream, and that they now wanted to leave. Seeing that the girl was in love, the parents realized that she would not change her intentions. Taking their daughter with them, they left for distant lands. From the moment the girl left her native land, the young man fell into a deep sleep. Sleeping, he remained on the bank of the stream.
A few years later, the girl’s family returned to their former home. One day, she was again sent to the stream for water. She looks, and her lover remains in the same place where they parted. She began to call him by name - and he woke up from his sleep. But the young man could no longer be human. He turned into an angel. He flapped his wings to fly, but fell down and crashed on the ground.
Realizing that her lover was dead, the girl’s heart could not bear this torment and she died. They were buried together: a boy and a girl. Both of them turned into stars. When the older brothers learned about the tragic fate that befell their younger brother, they died of grief. And all five became stars.
They joined their brother and his beautiful bride. There in the sky. Now they are all together. Someday turn your head, raise your eyes to the sky and you will see them all - a constellation of seven stars.
